GOOD MORNING from ELLAKATE'S QUILT SHOPPE!

Well I'm pretty excited this morning as I figured out how to find my old blogging posts and begin posting anew! It puts a great ending to 2020 and hope for NEW BEGINNINGS in 2021!

 Speaking of new beginnings, I plan to post regularly on this blog just to keep in touch with all of you. I was thinking about the joy of quilting this morning and how thankful I am that God gave us the ability to create new things. How cool is it that you can go to your stash and make something beautiful with your own hands and ideas! Quilting brings such happiness and peace. 

To share the love of quilting, EllaKate's is having a Beginner's Quilting Class on Tuesday evenings, January 12, 19, and 26, 2021 at 115 Lakeview Drive here in Martin, TN. Classes are always FREE at EllaKate's, it's our way of giving back to you! You only need to purchase your supplies for the class. The Beginners Quilting Kit is $60 and includes your fabrics for the quilt top, thread and pattern. I will have cutting stations and ironing stations set up for the class. 

If you have a friend who has always wanted to learn to quilt be sure to tell her about this class and of course if you want to join us as a refresher for yourself you are welcome to sign up too.  Ir is always so much fun to be with others who love to stitch and who doesn't need a little fellowship with others these days! You will need to PRE-REGISTER on line at ellakates.com or in person on FUN & FABULOUS FRIDAY, JANUARY 8th, from 9-5:00 at ELLAKATE'S QUILT SHOPPE, 115 Lakeview Dr. Martin, TN. 

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I'm getting to play in my quilting studio this morning and our grandson, Alex will be over later this evening to play a few games before we ring in the New Year here at home. Herman and I are looking forward to the New Year and of course I'm sure Jack is as well!
